City of Goose Creek

Corey McClary was elected to Goose Creek City Council in 2025, after previously serving as a Councilmember from 2018 to 2022. He was sworn into office on Jan. 13, 2026.

A U.S. Army Veteran, Councilmember-Elect McClary graduated from The Citadel. He is currently a member of Berkeley County’s Economic Development team, where he serves as the county’s Workforce Development Manager.

Raised by two professional educators, Councilmember-Elect McClary has a passion for helping others. He is engaged in the community, serving as a Berkeley Electric Cooperative Community Outreach Board Member, and a Community Arbitrator for the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court. He is the founder of the Berkeley County Teen After School Center with the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice, and has mentored dozens of students over the years. He is a Children’s Church teacher and Pastor’s Aid at his church.

He and his wife, Kim, have five children: Destiny, Danielle, Kaitlyn, Cayden and Cameron.
