Sanitation Division
The Sanitation Division is responsible for collecting the following refuse from all City of Goose Creek residents:
- Household garbage
- Yard debris
- Metal goods
- Owner-generated construction material
- Used household furnishing
Residential Trash Services
All household garbage, yard debris, and other standard materials are collected once a week. City residents receive one green trash container/roll cart for their residential waste.
New Residents: Please call 843-824-2200 to set up your service and request your green roll cart.
Bulky Item Pickups
Bulky items are collected on your normal residential trash pickup day, but all requests must be scheduled before 7:00 AM on the day of your pickup.

Preparation Requirements:
- Large Items: Very large items such as storage sheds, garage doors, or trailers must be dismantled into sections no longer than 4 feet.
- Safety Rule: Doors on refrigerators and freezers must be completely removed before placement at the curb.
Side Door Collection Service
The Sanitation Division offers side door collection for senior citizens and individuals with disabilities who are unable to bring household refuse to the curb. To learn more or to set up this service, please contact our office at 843-824-2200.
Important Service Restrictions:
- Garbage Only: This service applies strictly to your standard household garbage roll cart.
- Curbside Required: Yard debris and bulky items are not eligible for side door collection and must be placed at the curb to be picked up.
