Barb Richardson – Art Director, City of Goose Creek
As the City of Goose Creek’s Art Director, Barb Richardson has been instrumental in bringing Mayor Habib’s vision for a more vibrant, creative community to life. With a teaching background at the Charleston School of the Arts, Barb has helped transform public spaces into places that celebrate expression, culture, and community spirit.
From coordinating murals and goose statues to expanding opportunities for public art and creative programming, Barb’s leadership has made art more visible and accessible throughout the City. Her enthusiasm and innovative approach ensure that Goose Creek continues to grow not just in size, but in creativity and color.
Barb is excited to keep expanding the City’s artistic footprint, from visual and performing arts to hands-on community projects that inspire residents of all ages. Her work continues to make art a defining feature of what makes Goose Creek such a special place to live.
