What is Therapeutic Recreation?
Therapeutic Recreation is a program designed for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. Therapeutic Recreation is intended for individuals to participate in a variety of activities that will be inclusive and adaptable to different needs. This program is a great way to explore interests, stay active, and socialize with peers. This registration form will serve as annual registration for Therapeutic Recreation, but additional registration will be required based on activities.
Boy Band Review & Simply Spice- TICKETED. Must have ticket for entry!
Description: Join us for the third concert for the Daning Amphitheater concert season, performing is Boy Band Review and Simply Spice! Headphones will be provided upon arrival if needed.
Date: September 19th
Time: Doors open at 5pm, Show starts at 6pm.
Cost: FREE

Bowling (Monday Evening)
Description: Bowling is a fan favorite, and a great way to connect with friends and build skill. The cost is the total for 6-weeks, includes shoes and 2 hours of bowling.
Dates: Mondays, August 31st- October 12th (No Bowling Sept 7)
Time: 6pm-8pm
Cost: Resident $45.00, Non-Resident $60.00
Location: Royal Lanes (106 Central Ave)

Golf
Description: In partnership with Crowfield Golf, enjoy 3-weeks of skills and the final week playing a quick round of golf. Instructed by Will Forrest and lots of fun for all! You do not need golf experience or golf clubs to attend. However, if you have your own clubs- please bring them!
Date: Tuesdays, September 8-29
Time: 6-7pm
Ages: Best for ages 8+
Cost: Resident $10, Non-Resident $15

Inspire Choir
Description: Our choir is back! Meredith with SC Music Lessons will be returning to instruct the group! No experience is required to join! Join us to have fun and build connections through music! Please note we will have a performance about halfway through the program on Friday, October 30th and have a final performance at our Sensory Tree Lighting on December 5th. More details to come as we get closer.

Autism Saves the Day!- No pre-registration required.
Description: A local community member has presented her idea for an important inclusive event – Autism Saves the Day. The vision is for members within the disability community (not just those with Autism) to interact with emergency personnel and vise versa. Come out to Central Creek Park to meet members of the fire department, police department, EMS, and more. Attendees will have an opportunity to explore emergency vehicles, visit information booths, and more! We are thrilled to partner with community member, Miranda Harris, with Just a Mom.

Spina Bifida Walk and Roll
Description: In partnership with the Spina Bifida Association, we will be hosting the 2025 Walk n Roll. Please join us in supporting this group with a fun morning of food, games, crafts, and other fun activities for this event.
Date: Saturday, September 12th
Time: 10am-12pm

September Therapeutic Thursday
The September Therapeutic Thursday will be September 17th. September 17th is the final therapeutic Thursday for the season. As a reminder, Therapeutic Thursday is the 3rd Thursday of every month from 6pm-8pm at Debra’s Playground and Splash Creek at Central Creek Park. During these hours, the area is intended for the disability community to enjoy the park privately! Central Creek Park is located at 147 Old Moncks Corner Rd.

Tandem Adaptive Trike Usage
This tricycle will allow our therapeutic participants to feel the joys of riding a bike independently. Individuals are required to bring a helmet when riding. More information can be found here.
