Online Employment Application Instructions
Creating an Account
First-time users must create an account to access the online application system. During registration, you will create a unique Login ID and password. Please keep this information in a safe place, as it will be required each time you log in.
Returning users can access their existing account by selecting Login and entering their Login ID and password.
Once you submit an application, you will receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt. Due to the high volume of applications received, only applicants selected for further consideration will be contacted.
Application Requirements
To be considered for employment, applicants must complete the City of Goose Creek online employment application in its entirety, including any required attachments.
- Paper applications will not be accepted.
- All sections of the online application must be completed. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- A resume may be uploaded as a supplement but cannot replace any portion of the application.
- A separate online application must be submitted for each position of interest.
- Applications will not be accepted after the posted closing date. The City reserves the right to close job postings at any time.
Hiring Process
Qualified applicants selected for further consideration may be contacted directly by the hiring manager. Employment history and references may be verified, and applicants are responsible for providing accurate and complete information.
Candidates selected for regular full-time, regular part-time, or designated temporary positions must successfully complete any required pre-employment physical examination and/or drug screening and a background check. These appointments are scheduled after a conditional job offer has been made and accepted. Failure to complete or pass the required screening may result in withdrawal of the employment offer.
All employees hired into regular full-time and eligible part-time positions are required to enroll in the City's direct deposit program.
