Join us for Parking Day, a community celebration and temporary demonstration of what Button Hall can become! This event is part of the City’s Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) demonstration grant and will showcase ideas for safer streets, complete streets, and more people-centered public spaces.

Event Hours: 5:00–8:00 p.m.

Road Closure: 9:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m. for setup, the event, and breakdown

Enjoy a DJ and a fun, lively event atmosphere.

Food, Drinks & Shopping

 

Grab something to eat or drink, check out local market-style vendors, and enjoy the event. Alcohol service will also be available.

 

Take part in a community “Chalk by Numbers” activity and check out temporary chalk art created by the City’s art team.

 

Experience temporary parklets and new amenities designed to demonstrate a more inviting, active, and people-focused public space.

 

WHY PARKING DAY?

 

Parking Day is part of the City’s FHWA demonstration grant for Button Hall. These temporary changes give residents a chance to experience ideas that could improve safety, encourage activity and gathering, and create a stronger sense of place.

 

Community feedback from the event will help inform future efforts to secure funding for permanent improvements to Button Hall.
