City of Goose Creek

As a new school year begins, remember that the City updated and enacted new regulations for e-bikes and e-scooters earlier this year.

The ordinance that passed City Council in March calls for common-sense safety rules for both e-bikes and e-scooters, both of which have become popular in Goose Creek and throughout the state. The ordinance prohibits e-bikes from City sidewalks -- not including hiker-biker trails -- which continues the current laws that already prohibit bicycles from City sidewalks. It also limits e-scooters to roadways with posted speed limits of 30mph or less.
