It's official: McClary, McSwain and Enos-Sims win City Council election

The Berkeley County Board of Canvassers has officially certified the results of the City of Goose Creek's 2025 City Council election.
Corey McClary, Gayla McSwain and Melissa Enos-Sims were the top three vote-getters, and will serve four-year City Council terms beginning in January 2026.
McClary finished first with 1,914 votes, followed by McSwain with 1,505, and Enos-Sims with 1,195. McClary is a former City Councilmember, while McSwain and Enos-Sims are both incumbents.
City Councilmembers are elected by an at-large vote, with the top three finishers winning the three seats up for election this year. Eight candidates vied for the three open seats. Finishing in fourth through eighth place were Ingrid Centurion (1,146 votes), Yajaira Bess (636), Shane Reid (586), Mike Ivy (501) and Jarek Riscart (73). Twenty-three write-in votes were also recorded.
