Ever wondered what it takes to be a firefighter or EMS professional? Now’s your chance to find out firsthand! The City of Goose Creek Fire Department is excited to announce its first-ever Citizen’s Fire Academy, a unique 8-week program designed to give residents an inside look at the fire service and emergency medical response.

Starting Wednesday, September 17 through November 5, participants will meet weekly for two hours to learn directly from Goose Creek’s dedicated firefighters and EMS professionals. The hands-on course includes training with fire equipment, emergency simulations, and insights into daily operations at the fire station.

Program Highlights:

• ✅ 8-week course for Goose Creek residents

• ✅ Hands-on training from firefighters and EMS personnel

• ✅ Behind-the-scenes access to fire trucks, gear, and life-saving tools

• ✅ Weekly sessions on Wednesday evenings, 2 hours each

Spots are limited, and applicants must be 18 years or older to participate. The registration deadline is August 20, so don’t delay!
